The Transfiguration
1 After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John the brother of James, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves. 2 There he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with him. 4 So Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If yoʋ wish, * we ¦ I CTwe will make three shelters here, one for yoʋ, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” 5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; listen to him!” 6 When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were utterly afraid. 7 But Jesus came over and touched them, saying, “Rise; do not be afraid.” 8 And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus.
9 As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, “Do not tell anyone about the vision you saw until the Son of Man has † risen ¦ been raised NA SBL WHrisen from the dead.” 10 Then ‡ his ¦ the NA SBL WHhis disciples asked him, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” 11 Jesus answered § them ¦ — CTthem, “Elijah does indeed come * first ¦ — CTfirst, and he will restore all things. 12 But I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they wished. Even so the Son of Man is about to suffer at their hands.” 13 Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them about John the Baptist.
Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Boy

How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to me.” 18 Then Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that hour. 19 Afterward the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 Jesus said to them, “Because of your ‡ unbelief 97.6% ¦ little faith CT 1.5%unbelief. Paying the Temple Tax
