This book is a translation of nine Old Testament books and the complete New Testament into the Waskia language. Waskia is spoken by about 35,000 people, most of whom live on the northern half of Karkar Island in the Madang Province of Papua New Guinea.

In the course of preparation of this translation into Waskia, commentaries on the Hebrew and Greek source texts were consulted and the renderings in many English versions and in Papua New Guinea Tok Pisin were considered. The aim has been to produce a translation that is both clear and accurate in meaning, and also natural-sounding in Waskia.
