We could very well see the Destruction of Damascus.

Daniel 9:26 and Isaiah 17 Study

26 “And after the sixty-two weeks

Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;

And the people of the prince who is to come

Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.

The end of it shall be with a flood,

And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

Daniel 9:26

Jesus rejected by

Nazareth in Synagogue!

People = Romans

Prince to come = Anti-Christ

The City = Jerusalem

The Sanctuary = Herod’s Temple

After sanctuary is a ( . ) period, this is the end of the time this was fulfilled.

70 AD

End of it - what is (it) - there is a dispensation here between the end of the

69 weeks and the 70th week, most theologians call this the “Age of Grace”.

So the (it) here is the Church.

With a Flood - Hebrew letters

Each letter has a special meaning as well and they give us a special

message within them. Here is what this phrase means.

Shin - consume, destroy, teeth, separate

The Two Forms of Pey. Mouth, speak, Scatter

The letter Pey has both a medial form () and a sofit form (). The medial form is

said to be "bent" in humility, suggestive of a "closed mouth." The sofit form,

however, is said to be "open" and "upright." The midrash is that we must be silent

and humble before we straighten ourselves to speak. If the mouth cannot bring

forth praise and the truth of Torah, it should remained closed (Prov. 10:19).

Elam Prophecy

The end of it shall be with a flood,

And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

End of the war - (notice it is not plural) in order to understand what war

we have to look at

Desolations are determined - Jeremiah 25:15-38 gives understanding

17 Then I took the cup from the LORD’s hand, and made all the nations

drink, to whom the LORD had sent me: 18 Jerusalem and the cities of

Judah, its kings and its princes, to make them a desolation, an

astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;

This is JUDGEMENT ON THE NATIONS!

Where else do we see this? Amos 1 & 2,

Now we have a clear reference to what war we are to look at. The war that

started against Israel on October 7, 2023. Notice that Israel is fighting

against those regions mentioned in Amos, Ezekiel and Psalm 83.

So we now have to ask How will they become desolate?

For this we now will look at key verses that point to Psalm 83:13-15 and

especially verse 15.

We will see these verses reflected in Amos and Ezekiel and Isaiah 17!

And it shall devour its palaces,

Amid shouting in the day of battle,

“Behold, disaster shall go forth

From nation to nation,

And a great whirlwind shall be raised up

From the farthest parts of the earth.

Now will look at the word FIRE in verse 14 on the next page

16 Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there

were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain;

and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people

who were in the camp trembled. 17 And Moses brought the people

out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the

mountain. 18 Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because

the LORD descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the

smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly. 19 And

when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and

Psalm 83:14 As the fire burns the woods,

The cross reference to this verse is Exodus 19:18

What do we see today in our present that can cause desolation by fire?

Possibly Nuclear weapons? I also think that the RAPTURE will cause fire

to consume the earth as well. Think of all the gas lines that are

underground that will be disturbed when the earthquakes open the graves

of all those who will be resurrected into their glorified bodies on that day!

Now let’s look at Psalm 83:15 and the connection to the RAPTURE on

the next page

15 So pursue them with Your tempest,

And frighten them with Your storm.

Let’s look at the Hebrew word for tempest בְּסַעֲרֶ

We see the connection to a whirlwind.

1st mention is 2 Kings 2:1 where we

see Elijah. He is Raptured in a

whirlwind.

Now let’s look at the Hebrew word for storm וּבְסוּפָתְ*

So who do we see associated to the Red Sea? Moses

Now we see the Rapture connected to Psalm 83:15!

Isaiah 17

1 The burden against Damascus.

“Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city,

And it will be a ruinous heap.

Everyone looks at this Prophecy in chapter 17 verse 1 but there is more to

this chapter that points to the Rapture at the time of Damascus destruction.

4 “In that day it shall come to pass

That the glory of Jacob will wane,

And the fatness of his flesh grow lean.

In that day - what day is this? I will show that this day is the Rapture!

It is connected to “The Day of the Lord”.

Isaiah 2

12 For the day of the LORD of hosts

Shall come upon everything proud and lofty,

Upon everything lifted up—

And it shall be brought low—

19 They shall go into the holes of the rocks,

And into the caves of the earth,

From the terror of the LORD

And the glory of His majesty,

When He arises to shake the earth mightily.

Revelation 6

12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun

became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. 13 And the stars of heaven

fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. 14 Then the

Isaiah 13

6 Wail, for the day of the LORD is at hand!

It will come as destruction from the Almighty.

7 Therefore all hands will be limp,

Every man’s heart will melt,

8 And they will be afraid.

Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them;

They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth;

They will be amazed at one another;

Their faces will be like flames.

9 Behold, the day of the LORD comes,

Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger,

To lay the land desolate;

And He will destroy its sinners from it.

10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations

Will not give their light;

The sun will be darkened in its going forth,

And the moon will not cause its light to shine.

11 “I will punish the world for its evil,

And the wicked for their iniquity;

I will halt the arrogance of the proud,

And will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

12 I will make a mortal more rare than fine gold,

A man more than the golden wedge of Ophir.

13 Therefore I will shake the heavens,

And the earth will move out of her place,

In the wrath of the LORD of hosts

And in the day of His fierce anger.

Luke 21

26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the

expectation of those things which are coming on the

earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

1 Thess. 5

2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the

Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they

say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes

upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And

they shall not escape.

Mark 13

24 “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun

will be darkened, and the moon will not give its

light

We know the Rapture must take place before “The Day of the Lord”.

4 “In that day it shall come to pass

That the glory of Jacob will wane,

And the fatness of his flesh grow lean.

Jacob will wane (Fade) Grow lean?

As we look at Israel through this war that started Oct 7th, Israel has

been fighting for days. In the last 4 months the USA has not been

shipping ammunition or weapons to Israel. The people of Israel are

divided over Netanyahu and his handling of this war. There people are

displaced and the economy is suffering. Could you say they have lost

their fatness?

Isaiah 17

5 It shall be as when the harvester gathers the grain,

And reaps the heads with his arm;

It shall be as he who gathers heads of grain

In the Valley of Rephaim.

Let’s look now at the cross references to this verse “the harvester”

“The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor

When it is time to thresh her;

Yet a little while

And the time of her harvest will come.”

When I return the captives of My people.

Revelation 14

14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat

One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in

temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud,

“Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to

reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 So He who sat on the

cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

Jesus Christ

So we see now that “the harvester” is Jesus Christ who will come and

Rapture His Bride home.

Now we will see that there is going to be those left behind

Isaiah 17

6 Yet gleaning grapes will be left in it,

Like the shaking of an olive tree,

Two or three olives at the top of the uppermost bough,

Four or five in its most fruitful branches,”

Says the LORD God of Israel.

Gleaning grapes = those left behind that will be part of the tribulation saints

9 In that day his strong cities will be as a forsaken bough

And an uppermost branch,

Which they left because of the children of Israel;

And there will be desolation.

11 In the day you will make your plant to grow,

And in the morning you will make your seed to flourish;

But the harvest will be a heap of ruins

In the day of grief and desperate sorrow.

With the destruction that will come from the Rapture “the harvest”, it will

be ruins and weakness and pain for those that are left.

Next we will look at the circumstances surrounding this Prophecy of

Damascus.

Isaiah 17

12 Woe to the multitude of many people

Who make a noise like the roar of the seas,

And to the rushing of nations

That make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

Woe = warning!

Revelation 17

15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you

saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples,

multitudes, nations, and tongues.

The last rushing in that verse is H7582

Psalm 83

2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;

And those who hate You have lifted up their head.

4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from

being a nation,

That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

Verse 24 again, God is revealing to us His

plan to those who will diligently seek Him.

After that revealing we are taken away!

How amazing is

this?

Before we get to this Judgement on Elam Prophecy Jeremiah has a the same list of

Desolations that Amos and Ezekiel has.

Chapter 47 - Philistia

Chapter 48 - Moab

Chapter 49 - Ammon, Edom, Damascus, Kedar and Hazor,

Then Elam

Chapter 51 tells us of the prophecy against Babylon which I believe is a duel prophecy.

We know that the Babylonian spirit is alive and well in the US. This is why the US in my

understanding is “Mystery Babylon” spoken of in Revelation 17 and 18. Habakkuk also

has description of “Mystery Babylon” as well. There is another study to show my

understanding.

So we can see that Damascus is before Elam and Babylon (Mystery Babylon) is last.

We will look closer at verse 36 on the next page.

36 Against Elam I will bring the four winds

From the four quarters of heaven,

And scatter them toward all those winds;

There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go.

In Revelation 7:1 there are 4 angels controlling the winds

1 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of

the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not

blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.

Revelation 7:1 happens at the beginning of the Tribulation. The angels

that were to blow the Trumpets during the Tribulation are not able to until

the 144,000 Jews (12,000 of each tribe of Israel) is sealed on their

foreheads. This is foreshadowed in Ezekiel 9:1-11. Those verses are a

type and shadow of the Tribulation in the beginning.

The foremost of their might.

Let’s look at the “bow” H7198 qesheth - might

What is the might of Elam? The region of ancient Elam is southwest Iran.

It is where there nuclear power is currently! It is also the possible place to

fire missile at Israel. Either way, that area will be a target.

Elam Prophecy

Remember Daniel 9:26 “with a flood”

I see the war and Rapture happening in short session. One last piece that I

found that may mean we see Damascus destroyed before we are Raptured.

It’s found in Joel 2.

30 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth:

Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness,

And the moon into blood,

Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.

Joel 2:1-11 is again speaking of the coming “Day of the Lord”

12-17 speaks to repentance before that Day comes. Check out verse

15&16!

15 Blow the trumpet in Zion,

Consecrate a fast,

Call a sacred assembly;

16 Gather the people,

Sanctify the congregation,

Assemble the elders,

Gather the children and nursing babes;

Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber,

And the bride from her dressing room.

Let the Bridegroom go out (Fathers house) - bride from her dressing room

(earth). This is shared by Isaiah

Take Refuge from the Coming Judgment

Isaiah 26

20 Come, my people, enter your chambers,

And shut your doors behind you;

Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment,

Until the indignation is past.

21 For behold, the LORD comes out of His place

To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;

The earth will also disclose her blood,

And will no more cover her slain.

Isaiah 27

1 In that day the LORD with His severe sword, great and strong,

Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent,

Leviathan that twisted serpent;

And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.
